National Geographic, Electus in TV deal

The Nation's Geographic Funnel has signed an unconventional cope with Ben Silverman banner Electus -- the shingle will build up three shows for that News Corp./National Geographic Society partnership, having a guarantee that certain will receive a series greenlight. Electus is keeping a couple of its three contracted projects a secret, however the third is going to be exactly what the shingle calls "an immersive reality series" re-creating the trans-Atlantic voyage from the Mayflower in 1620 as to the has become Massachusetts. "Most of us to some degree understand the Mayflower voyage, but to have the ability to re-create that actual 66-day journey offers the ultimate kind of action-adventure," stated Electus Boss Chris Grant. "But it is also located in historic relevance." There is no single professional producer leading the charge around the Mayflower project, Grant told Variety. "We figured it throughout a large group session -- an entire day spent. All of us went to dinner and spoken it.Inch Grant stated the other two projects aren't public yet while he does not need to see another company hop on either from the ideas before Electus can define them.
