Freestyle hungry for 'Donner Pass'

Freestyle Digital Media has acquired U.S. privileges to horror thriller "Donner Pass," and plans a release within the first quarter.FDM introduced the offer Saturday, 72 hours after starting its new platform for digital distribution, cable and VOD around the opening day's the American Film Market. FDM recommended digital VOD platform to be able to growing independent filmmaker revenues through enhanced marketing efficiencies of day and date theatrical, and optimizing returns from direct-to-video releases. "Donner Pass" comes from Arroyo Filmworks, director Elise Robertson, producer Mouncey Ferguson, and film writer Scott Adams. Film informs the storyline of settlers in 1846 who grew to become snowbound within the Sierra Nevada Mountain tops and needed to turn to cannibalism to outlive -- and several teens on the ski trip 150 years later who uncover the curse from the Donner Party still haunts individuals mountain tops when people of the group start arriving not just dead, but half-eaten.
